“Life is an adventure best traveled together”
Weather Passport was born from two of my greatest passions—weather and travel.
After years of answering weather questions from friends, family, and viewers, I realized travelers needed more than just a forecast a few days before their trip. They needed a trusted resource to understand the best times to visit, what weather to expect, what to pack, and how weather can impact their vacation.
For 28 years, I built my career at WDBJ7 in Roanoke, Virginia, where I covered some of the region’s most significant weather events, including tornado outbreaks, tropical flooding, winter storms, and the historic 2012 Derecho wind storm. Along the way, I earned a degree in Professional Communication from Old Dominion University, completed the Broadcast Meteorology Program at Mississippi State University, received the American Meteorological Society (AMS) Seal of Approval, and was honored with three Emmy Awards for weather storytelling.
WeatherPassport.com is here to help you travel smarter and with more confidence. Along with the extreme weather updates, we also share destination guides, weather insights, travel tips, and real experiences from our own adventures so you can spend less time worrying about the weather and more time making memories.
Whether you’re planning a beach vacation, mountain getaway, cruise, or international adventure, I’m excited to help you make weather your travel advantage.
